I am Athan Retzonis and I am a professional photographer.
I am based in Athens but I’ll be happy to travel all over Greece to shoot your wedding or any other event.
Although I have studied Geology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, my passion for photography and people led me to become a professional wedding photographer.

My approach

My " style" is the product of my dedication to my work and the trust of my clients who hire me.
I don't focus on awards or accolades, what is important is that you are pleased with my work and willing to trust me to do what I do best. This trust motivates me to strike a balance between artistic exploration and accurate representation in my work. I use a “documentary-style” approach, where I observe and capture events as they happen without intervening.
I believe that unique images are created spontaneously and my role is to have the experience and readiness to capture them. Reality can be interesting and surprising.
During the couple's portraits, I am trying to direct certain actions that will result in real emotions without fake smiles.
I am aware that I don’t shoot professional models.

My goal

I see every wedding I shoot as an opportunity to create a unique and captivating story. My goal is to ensure that you have a wonderful experience throughout the entire process and that the photographs we create together are a reflection of that experience.
